Four. Days.

The holidays were fabulous for me! I had a really good time hanging out with friends and family. I also got some awesome and just plain crazy presents. I got the first season of The Big Bang Theory which I've been watching over and over (awesome), and I got a sweatshirt that says "Don't make me use my opera voice!" (crazy). I'm also especially excited about a writing pen that looks like a syringe with blood in it...can't wait to use it in nursing school! I'm such a nerd. I also got a new camera like I wanted for Christmas, so I thought I should put up some pictures!

This is Matt and I on Christmas day. I have the shirt on as described above, and Matt's wearing a shirt I bought him from Macy's!

We had a little Christmas get together with close friends, and here are Christy and Carlie in the Snuggies I got them for Christmas!

Here is the photograph Christy took that she got me framed for Christmas. LOVE it.

It was also awesome to see old friends again ie Angel, Paula, Emma, and Mary. My friend Mary recently left for Hyderbad, India to work with AIDS awareness. I'm so proud and excited for her, so please be thinking of her and all the good she is doing there.

New Years was so much fun this year. Christy, Matt, and I went up to Chicago to visit a friend of ours whom had just moved out there. Her apartment is so cute. It's a studio, but we all managed to fit. There were a lot of laughs, and Carlie was such a good little host with all her decorations and party hats and good food she prepared. We even were able to see some of the fireworks from the rooftop of her building from downtown. In the morning, we explored her neighborhood and went to a locally owned coffee shop (I won't even talk about my little spilling incident). I would put up some pictures of New Years, but we all look so tired from the traveling that I decided against it.

I leave you with one last picture, and it basically embodies what I've been thinking about a lot lately: nursing school!! Can you believe it? I begin on Monday, and I'm so nervous/excited/every other emotion imaginable! I have orientation tomorrow, and I hope that I'm reassured that 1. I'm going to be able to do this, and 2. My classmates are going to be awesome.

Is that big stack of books a little intimidating or what?

I love those pictures. And I try to avoid making you use your opera voice at all times, haha.
